Our regular volunteer roles include the following:
Organize and host a donation drive with your colleagues, family, friends, classmates, or faith group to help put together ‘Welcome Home Baskets’ for our community members moving out of shelter and into their new homes! All you have to do is pick a theme (i.e. kitchen supplies, bedding basics, hygiene and bathroom items, cleaning items, or school-readiness supplies) and pack a box or laundry basket with the corresponding items that will be gifted to families and individuals in our programs. Plan, purchase, prepare, and serve a meal for 50-55 people at our Clinton Avenue Shelter or First Covenant Church Shelter. Meal Groups are encouraged to eat alongside guests, contribute to a hospitable environment, and help with meal clean-up.
